The Top Beauty Looks at the MET

The MET Ball 2012 is by far one of the most important events for the Fashion Industry, it's the Oscars of Fashion.

It is also one of the rare occasions for joint mingling of super models and screen stars, which to me makes and interesting scene as you get to witness the truth of couture between a 6ft Supermodel vs a 5ft Starlet.

With show stopping couture, this is not the event to play it "safe". Who brought a show stopping face?

JESSICA ALBA: FTW! Face perfection, hair perfection, dress love! 

LANA DEL REY: Another dark lip with metallic dress, loved her look overall

KATE BOSWORTH: anyone seeing a trend yet? Love the matching lip to her sexy fringed dress and sleek hair

CAMILLA BELLE: mmm hmm chocolatey goodness! love everything on her!

KARLIE KLOSS: Colour never looked so fierce!

ROONEY MARA: Loved the bold lip, I wish she did a bit more, but she was flawless as always

ROSEY HUNGTINGTON: LOVE her sexy eyes!

AMBER HEARD: Gorgeous skin and bright lip on a classic look

SCARLETTE JOHANSSON: I like the messy undone-ness ( is that a word?) of her look, she almost looks like
she was making out in the coat room :P

KAROLINA KURKOVA: That face, between those sequins. #thatisall

JESSICA STAM: Love her silver minty eyes and light brows

The Oscar for Best Red Carpet Beauty....

 The Oscars! The only event known to bring on a world wide shortage of faux lashes.

 A glamourous event where all leading, supporting, chaperoning, carpet crashing etc.. ladies ( and some men? ) required minimum 2 pairs per eye.

NATALIE PORTMAN: Chocolaty Smokey eyes with soft lip

SANDRA BULLOCK: Pop of sparkle on the eyes with a neutral lip. I'm not super sold on the lip shade, but it works

Now my Oscar Sajie for Best Red Carpet Beauty goes to Angelina and Rooney!!!!!

 I can't choose between the bedroom eyes, hair red lip, perfect brows, perfect foundation...I love!

On Sunday 12th Feb the Stars took to the Red Carpet once more for the Annual Grammy Awards.

Yes the show is about awarding the music industries finest....and not so finest.... but for those of us (like myself) who watch solely for the Red Carpet arrivals, here are my top beauty looks on the Red Carpet.

KELLY ROWLAND: Pretty Makeup! Love that she isn't wearing bangs, but the Center part looks a little to school girl for my preference, I still give it win cause the bangs are gone!

RIHANNA's boobies: Flawless Makeup as always! Love the shaggy doo. 

JESSIE J: Gorgeous Smokey eye love the soft sculpting and neutral lip..I really like her lip. She works those bangs too!

MELANIE FIONA: Skin was flawless, glowing, sculpted with a perfect winged liner. I think the lashes had gold gems along the lash line also

One of the easiest but super dramatic changes that you can make are false lashes.

Choose a full strip with wispy hairs that flare off to the outer corners and add them to your natural makeup look for sexy come hither eyes.

Your date won't be able to look away ;)

Face the Week Wednesdays: Copper Winged Eye

Sofia Vergara's Golden Globe Makeup was one of my top picks from the evening. ( see the rest here)
Her makeup was kept really fresh with subtle dynamic eyes and a bold lip.
This is a fantastic look to try out for spring!

Here's how:

-Apply Copper Eyeshadow close to lash line and wing the edges out, build up thickness of the line to your preference or eye shape.
-Line upper lash line with a thin line of black keeping close to the lashes.

-Apply faux lashes and a coat of mascara

-Apply a rosy pink blush to apples of cheek

-Finish with a raspberry shade of lipstick and blot on tissue to remove excess.

The celebs were getting a bit dull with their makeup routines but as it's awards season the glam has returned!

We have here Jessia Biel sporting the ultimate natural look that every woman should have in their arsenal for spring. The grass shouldn't be the only thing dewy this season!

To Get the Look follow these easy steps below:

- Apply a strong moisturizer to your face and allow to sit

-Apply your foundation base choose something liquid or creamy instead of powder to get the fresh look

-Apply pink cream blush with fingers to apples of cheek

-Sweep cream coloured shadow over entire eye, highlight inner corner with bone shadow

-Dab pearl cream/liquid highlighter on the tops of cheek, down the nose and over cupids bow

-Apply a natural faux lash if needed and a light coat of mascara

-Lightly powder T zone for shine

-Apply creamy textured pink lipstick

Golden Globes: The Beauty Cateogry

The 2012 Golden Globes was as always a Red Carpet fashion and beauty gala, of course we are anxious to find out if our fave's have won or were robbed...but whats really most important is the red carpet arrivals.
